Don’t be that guy who passes a car, pulls in front of that car, and then slows down to the speed limit. What was the point of you just passing that car?? Chances are he’s just going to pass you now and then you are right back where you started. Except now he’s pissed. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who stops walking abruptly in the middle of a busy pathway. Yes, someone will likely walk into you. Maybe you should have considered easing into that stop instead of making it so sudden. You’re disrupting all of the people who have their faces buried in their cell phones while they walk. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who uses “impressive” words just to do it. Just because you had a blast on dictionary.com earlier in the day doesnt mean that you need to make it your personal goal to use all the cool, new words you found that day. For the rest of our conversation with you we will just be laughing at you in our heads. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who goes to the gym just to use the wall mirrors to practice his golf swing. We all see you there wearing your jeans and a sweatshirt swinging your golf club. You take up all that mirror space, while the rest of us are forced to stare at the wall. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who walks into an elevator and hits the button for his floor, despite the fact that the button is already lit up. Do you think that the elevator is going to skip that floor unless enough people hit the button? Did you think you could do it and nobody would notice? Cause we did. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who, when hanging out with only one other person, hears a cellphone vibrate and asks, “Is that my phone or yours?” Are you serious? That better be a rhetorical question because I’m not answering it. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who listens to his music so loud in public that, even with headphones on, you can still hear his music from ten feet away. We know you’re trying to win a competition to go deaf before everyone else, but do it when you aren’t in public. If we wanted to hear music, we’d turn our own iPods on. Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who crosses into the passing lane on the highway only to match the speed of the guy you intended to pass. You then set up an impassible wall for the cars behind and they end up pissed. Accelerate! Nobody likes that guy.

Don’t be that guy who keeps shifting in his seat when people are forced to sit near him. Every time he moves, they feel uncomfortable. He reaches in his pocket to get his cell phone, and everyone has to lean the other way. Nobody likes that guy.
